I'm a biologist with interest in animal behavior, communication, and cognition.
I am currently a BBSRC-funded PhD student in Experimental Psychology at the University of Manchester studying the evolution and development of cooperation, comparing human children with other large-brained social mammals.
I received my Bachelor's degree in Marine Science from Rollins College in 2015. During my time as an undergrad, I was able to take part in several field work projects involving dolphins in Scotland, Zanzibar, Beaufort NC, Sarasota FL, and Cedar Key FL.
I completed my Master's degree in Biology under the supervision of Dr. Richard Connor at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. I was fortunate enough to travel to Shark Bay, Australia, to train in acoustic data collection with Dr. Stephanie King via the Dolphin Alliance Project. My thesis investigated dolphin communication during driver-barrier feeding behavior in Cedar Key, Florida in partnership with the Cedar Key Dolphin Project.
I have been Field Manager for the Cedar Key Dolphin Project since June 2019. To keep up-to-date on my work with the project, please use the social media icons below to connect with me/CKDP on social media, or visit the project website here: www.cedarkeydolphinproject.org
